Manufacturing Engineer, Barnoldswick

Sitec urgently require an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for an estimated 12 month contact in Barnoldswick, Lancashire

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the Transmissions, Structures and Drives (TS&D) business.
You will create and maintain part technical packages.
You will be expected to work in multi-functional project teams and coordinate the creation of COS drawings, stage drawings, fixtures and NC programmes through PLM.
Creation of control documentation such as TIs, PFMEAs and FVRAs will also be part of an NPI manufacturing engineer’s role.
As a cell production engineer you will be responsible for the raising of salvage procedures and sentencing of non-conforming parts. It is expected that you will be responsible for driving method improvements and will take a role in general cell support duties.
As a modelling and drafting specialist you will have skills in PLM, Unigraphics and preferably CADS 5.
As an NC machining specialist you will have the ability to create programmes for milling and/or turning in Unigraphics and preferably APT/Exapt plus.

Essential Skills:
Either knowledge of Technical Instruction and/or Unigraphics Modelling and/or NC programming
Strong Manufacturing Engineering background
Good communications skills
Strong team player
Knowledge of Lean Processes

Please also note this role requires occasional travel to Derby
